Essax, con el Baqué Cycling Team en 2021

Creating cycling teams in all categories, including professional, for 44 years is not something anyone can say, but the Baqué Cycling Team can.

On April 7, the official presentation to the media of the squad for the 2021 season took place at the Zuhatzola Park in the town of Durango, headquarters of the main sponsor, Cafés Baqué. The team members were accompanied by the different local authorities, sponsors, and especially the Elkar Kirolak Society, with the figure of Javier García at the helm as general manager and sports director of the U23 team. He was also accompanied by former professionals David López, Marino Lejarreta and Rubén Gorospe, forming part of the team management.

He Baqué Cycling Team, is the star group of U23 runners of the Elkar Kirolak cycling society. It has teams from the Schools to Amateurs category, men and women. Composed of 13 riders in the current 2021 season, it intends to cover a wide range of events in the Spanish Cup, the Abiatzen Tournaments, Euskaldun (which he won in 2020 with Jon Barrenetxea), Lehendakari, and a good number of Tours and races throughout the State.

There is no doubt that the Baqué Cycling Team is one of the most recognized teams in the national peloton, and that it is a true launch pad for cycling talents, who for years have made the leap to teams in higher categories, such as the recently promoted Adrián López to the almighty Ineos Grenadiers, or Rubén Pérez to the no less important Burgos BH.

And as it could not be otherwise, Essax will support this exciting project for another year as an official collaborator, and there are already a few of them. A new model that we will present shortly is the one that the team has decided to mount on their bikes. Without a doubt, the best test bench we can have for our saddles.
