Our passion, our work
The place where one comes from defines a large part of one's personality, and in our case, it is also an implicit part of our name. Sax is a small town located in the province of Alicante, Spain. Ancient land, of ancestral traditions, of castles and heraldic shields, of hard-working and enterprising people, surrounded by mountains and great cyclists.
After more than 25 years of experience in the manufacture of technical items in foam and leather for the international footwear industry, one fine day in 2007 someone challenged us to make a saddle, taking into account that in reality it was about making a template of shoe, but adding a base and a rod. The tradition and family experience of Joaquín Gil, alma mater of Essax, and his love of cycling, did the rest.
From then until today, the enthusiasm for the product and the brand has remained intact, because we have always said that we are immensely lucky to work on our passion, which we try to transfer to each and every one of the saddles that leave our facilities.

The main value we have as a company are our workers and their hands. Because in a factory where the function of the machines is reduced to a minimum, it is precisely they who, with their skill, patience and dexterity, create our saddles from nothing.
Each and every one of the Essax saddles has been designed, injected, formed, die-cut, screen printed, engraved, lined, glued, sanded, rodded, supervised and packaged in our facilities in Sax (Alicante, Spain), by professionals and artisans involved who They love their job.
